What makes a dog shake alot????

I have a small dog which I have had for a few years now but recently I notice that she shakes all the time! Should I be concerned?? What would make her shake so much?? No, nothing has changed in her surroundings but a new cat! She doesn’t like cats but she tolerates this one at times. Would this make her shake like she does? I NEED serious answers since this dog happens to be a member of family!! If you have no idea, then please do not answer!!

Life vest for dock diving?

This weekend I’m going to the lake where we vacation and I’m going to (attempt) introducing my dog to jumping off the dock for a toy. Now I’m doing an orientation at my local dock dogs in June, but in the mean time should I get her a life vest to make her more comfortable with jumping in? Safety’s not really an issue- we’ll be right there and able to jump off if needed and she’s an excellent swimmer. I’m just wondering if it would give her a little more confidence for jumping off the dock.. or if it would be a waste and I should wait to see if she’s even interested.
Ok I said she was an excellent swimmer.
I have read as many articles as I could find about dock diving so I have a little knowledge before I get started. Several of these articles said a life vest would help the dog feel more confident about the whole act of dock diving.
